The Role

We’re looking for an expert React Native Engineer to help shape the future of Fuse. This is a foundational role with significant product impact, where you’ll:

• Help define mobile architecture
• Build reusable components and smooth user interactions
• Solve challenging performance and security problems in a crypto-native environment
  
  

This role is ideal for someone who wants autonomy, thrives in ambiguity, and is eager to help bring crypto finance to the masses.

What You’ll Build

• Implement performant native UI components, and write clean, maintainable code across the native and JavaScript bridge
• Integrate native modules when needed and debug complex performance issues on both the native and JS sides
• Define reusable components, interfaces, and service integrations for backend communication
• Identify and solve complex engineering challenges related to performance, scalability, and security
• Participate in architectural decisions and shape mobile strategy across platforms
• Ensure high-quality releases with thorough testing, QA, and CI/CD automation
  
  

Required Skills

Core Expertise:

• You’re an expert in React Native, with 3+ years of experience building and shipping mobile apps
• You know how to debug and resolve performance issues—on both the JavaScript and native layers
• You can write and integrate native modules when React Native alone isn’t enough
• You’ve built fintech or crypto mobile apps, and you understand the importance of security, UX, and real-time performance in financial products
  You’re excited about Fuse and want to help build the next-generation financial experience
• You thrive in fast-paced, zero-to-one product environments and value ownership and autonomy
• You are someone who blends deep React Native knowledge with real product sensibility
  
  

Technical Stack

• Front end: Typescript, React Native. Optionally: react-query, zod
• Backend: Rust or any other backend tech stack, Rust Axum Api Web Server
• Infrastructure: no preference
• Security: Understand
  
  

Ideal Background:

Stripe, Coinbase, Robinhood, Revolut, Venmo, Branch, Juno, N26, Monzo, Starling, Plum, Wyre, public.com, copper banking, Mercury

Experience:

• Proficiency in debugging performance issues across JS and native threads
• Ability to create, integrate, and maintain native modules in Swift
• Experience working closely with backend services (REST APIs, GraphQL, etc.)
• Product mindset: you care about the “why” behind every feature
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently in a distributed team

Bonus Points:

• Experience shipping mobile apps from concept to production in small or solo teams
• Knowledge of backend development
• Exposure to Solana development and deploying smart contracts
• Interest or experience in mobile security, threat modeling, or penetration testing
