We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team at Sovrun. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our Scrum team, contributing to the quality assurance process across various stages of product development. As a Junior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product by taking part in functional, regression, and acceptance testing, focusing on all aspects of user experience and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional, regression, and acceptance testing for web applications, paying close attention to layout, usability, and overall user experience.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle.
• Create and execute test plans for current products and features.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish testing protocols for new features under development.
• Provide additional testing support and feedback to other team members.
• Develop clear test scenarios based on requirements and ensure complete requirement traceability.
• Document and report bugs in detail using JIRA.
• Work with internal teams (e.g., Developers, QA Leads, Product Managers) to clarify system requirements.
• Monitor results of debugging processes.
• Identify causes of non-conforming software and assist users in implementing solutions.
• Track important QA metrics, including defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay current with evolving testing tools and methodologies.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Cypress, JMeter, Postman, or Selenium is a plus.
• Understanding of web protocols and data formats, particularly HTTPS and JSON.
• Experience with testing cloud APIs.
• Good grasp of UI/UX principles and user journey paradigms.
• Knowledge of testing automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
