About the role
- We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of People & Talent to lead our People function and shape the future of our organization. In this transformative role, you will be instrumental in implementing effective people strategies, fostering a positive work culture, and driving our talent acquisition efforts as we continue to grow.
What you'll do
- Optimize People Operations: Evaluate existing systems and processes, upgrading or replacing them where necessary to streamline our people operations.
- Lead Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute innovative recruiting strategies to attract world-class talent. Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Build and Manage Recruiting Resources: Establish and lead high-performing recruiting resources to meet our rapid scaling needs.
- Employer Branding: Enhance our employer brand by promoting our culture and values through various channels to attract top talent.
- Compensation and Benefits Strategy: Define and communicate effective strategies for compensation, leveling, and benefits to enhance talent acquisition, management, and retention.
- Organizational Planning: Participate in organizational planning, providing insights on roles, team structures, and budgets.
- Cultural Leadership: Collaborate with the founding team to scale our culture and values as the business grows.
- Cross-Functional Engagement: Work closely with the management team to align goals, strategies, and best practices.
- Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek ways to innovate and challenge the status quo, never settling for "that's just the way things are supposed to be."
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in people roles at high-performing, venture-backed tech startups, with significant experience in talent acquisition and recruitment.
- Scaling Expertise: Proven track record in scaling organizations, able to quickly establish foundational systems.
- Recruiting Leadership: Demonstrated ability to attract, recruit, and retain highly skilled individuals in competitive markets.
- Team Building: Experience in building and managing effective recruiting teams.
- Decision-Making Skills: Detail-oriented yet fast-paced, capable of maintaining high standards while making quick decisions without complete data.
- Employer Branding: Ability to enhance employer branding to attract top talent.
- Cultural Leadership: Ability to foster a culture of high performance and accountability throughout the organization.
- Operational Excellence: Proficient in operationalizing people-centric programs and systems for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leadership Development: Enthusiastic about enabling leadership development within our management team to ensure our leadership scales with our growth.
