Senior Product Designer

📍 Remote | 🕒 Full-time | 💼 GRVT

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer (Individual Contributor) to lead the user experience and interface design of our mobile app—one of the most critical touchpoints in our product ecosystem. In this role, you’ll shape not just how the app looks and feels, but how users move through it, engage with it, and ultimately stay with it.

✅ Key Responsibilities

As a senior designer, you are comfortable with the design processes and can work independently on a project. You are able to scope and prioritise design tasks for yourself and deliver them efficiently. You'll spend most of your time trying to simplify very complex products and ideas. This starts from understanding users needs and the problems they face, to creating intuitive user flows, and polishing the detailed aesthetics and understanding how they make users feel.

How it’s like on a day-to-day basis:

• Spend time with product owners and other team leads to discover pain points and translate insights into tangible designs that address customer needs while meeting business goals.
• Propose and create data-informed designs that improve key metrics including user acquisition, retention, and engagement.
• Plan and conduct user research to validate design decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Work with the Design Systems team to develop, refine, and maintain a comprehensive mobile design system that ensures consistency while allowing for innovation.
• Produce work you are proud of, including user journey maps, information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity visuals, and clickable prototypes for user validation.
• Guide engineers in implementing your designs.
• Proactively suggest new features and improvements based on cryptocurrency trends, user feedback, and industry best practices.
• As a senior designer, contribute towards optimising the design process to make it more effective and efficient.

👤 Qualifications & Skills

_Have a demonstrated ability to design products and experiences

• Prior work and personal projects count for much more than specific degrees. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with more than 5 years of experience in digital product design. Experience in fin-tech, trad-fi or de-fi is a plus.

_Have a great visual design sense and an eye for detail

• You should have a portfolio that showcases your prior work, demonstrating your attention to detail from interaction design to copywriting, and be able to explain your design decisions.

_Are passionate about user-centered design

• We look for experience with user research processes and an understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.

_Passionate about simplifying complex financial concepts through brilliant design

• Cryptocurrency and all its associated financial instruments can be intimidating for non-crypto natives. We aspire to make it simple and accessible to everyone across the globe.

_Have the ability to prioritise

• You don't focus on getting the stroke width for your illustrations right when the UX is a dumpster fire.

_Have opinions, believe in their ideas and are willing to fight for them.

• At the same time, we want people who can recognise when a better argument or solution is put before them, and suggest alternatives around constraints.

_Are proficient with design tools

• At minimum you need to be proficient in Figma. Familiarity with utilising AI as part of your design process, and a good understanding of HTML/CSS/JS and other mobile development technologies such as React or Angular is a plus.

_Take initiative to make things happen

• We have a startup-ish environment where things can be scrappy. Our job is to constantly push for innovation and make things better, so we need people who are willing to challenge the status quo and not wait for instruction.
