Your Role

We are seeking a highly-motivated and intellectually curious Analyst to join our investment team. This role is integral to expanding Delphi's venture footprint and will be focused on two key pillars:

• AI & Deeptech: Researching, thesis-building, and investment sourcing in AI and deeptech.
• Fund of Funds (FoF): Developing insights by engaging with our GP network, identifying direct investment opportunities for Delphi Ventures

You will work closely with the entire Ventures team to drive the full lifecycle of investments, from publishing research and sourcing novel opportunities to conducting diligence and supporting our portfolio of direct investments and fund managers. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, analytical, an excellent writer, and passionate about the frontiers of technology.

Your Responsibilities

• Thesis & Research: independently build expertise around emerging trends to uncover proprietary information, differentiated opinions, and inform prospective investment opportunities.
• Pipeline Management: maintain disciplined oversight into our ventures pipeline for AI and deeptech investments, their due diligence status, and provide short updates on a weekly basis to ensure effective tracking. Maintain communications with operations & legal teams to evaluate risks associated with new investments and ongoing portfolio management.
• Portfolio Support: assist in managing existing portfolio relationships through semi-regular check-ins, reporting, and assessing priorities across the portfolio.
• Deal Flow Sourcing: leverage Delphi’s network in conjunction with your own to ensure we are participating in the best early-stage deals in the market.
• Process Optimization: proactively work with the ventures & research team to build a workflow that allows you to perform optimally. We prize flexibility, and believe people do their best work when they’re able to do so on their terms by leveraging Delphi in their own unique ways.
• Network Expansion: continue to build the Delphi hivemind’s network into new territories, in both traditional gaming as well the crypto sector. This may manifest as identifying high-leverage media opportunities, events for us to be involved with, or publishing written content & research.
• FoF Portfolio Management & Co-Invest Sourcing: Actively manage relationships with General Partners (GPs) within our existing and growing FoF portfolio. Engage with fund managers to receive regular updates, diligence promising companies within their portfolios, and proactively source high-conviction follow-on and co-investment opportunities for Delphi's direct investment team.
• Direct Sourcing & Diligence (AI/Deeptech): Leverage your research and network to source and evaluate direct investment opportunities in promising early-stage AI and deeptech companies. You will be responsible for the full diligence process, from initial screening and founder calls to building investment memorandums.

Qualifications & Characteristics

• Experience: 1-4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in venture capital, investment banking, or a technical/research role at a leading AI or deeptech company.
• Technical Acumen: A deep technical or academic background in AI, machine learning, computer science, or related deeptech fields is strongly preferred. You must be able to "speak the language" of highly technical founders.
• Analytical Rigor: A strategic mindset with sharp quantitative and analytical thinking. You are fact-driven and able to distill complex data into concise, actionable investment memorandums.
• Writing & Communication: Exceptional ability to synthesize and present complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively, both in long-form research and internal memos.
• Passion & Conviction: A genuine passion for and strong existing theses on the future of AI and its potential to reshape industries.
• Personal Traits: High ambition, grit, and a demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile. You must have an autonomous working style and be comfortable in a remote-first, globally distributed team.
