CCP Games is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help design and build the next generation of our data platform.
You’ll join a collaborative and highly skilled data engineering team in Reykjavík, working at the heart of an iconic technology company shaping meaningful virtual experiences.
As a senior member of the team, you’ll play a key role in creating scalable data infrastructure, real-time pipelines, and reliable models that power decision-making and in-game analytics. You’ll collaborate closely with data analysts, scientists, and developers across CCP to make data accessible, trusted, and actionable.
The role can be located in Reykjavik or London, and relocation to Reykjavik or remote work is possible for the right candidate.

Your Tasks:
- Building robust data models and customer-facing data marts to support business and product insights
- Designing and building data infrastructure, pipelines and processes to support real-time analytics
- Guiding and mentoring other engineers on the team
- Collaborating closely with data analytics and scientists on data feature engineering
- Playing a primary role in the construction of a modern enterprise data warehouse
- Playing a primary role in the design and implementation of a cloud data architecture
- Enabling self-service analytics through MCP, empowering teams to access and utilize data independently
- Empowering AI/ML solutions as well as data analytics and data science work across the company
- Participating in the adventure of building online entertainment for the masses
Your Profile:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Expert-level SQL skills — comfortable writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimizing existing code.
- Extensive experience in data modelling and database design at scale.
- Programming skills in at least one modern language (e.g. Python, Go, Java, C#).
- Hands-on experience with cloud data infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Familiarity with streaming and event-driven data systems.
