CCP Iceland is looking for an experienced, innovative Senior Graphics Programmer (Characters) with a deep passion for games and games development.

Your tasks:

• Design and implement new graphical algorithms, features and solutions into the character rendering capabilities of our game engine 
• Identify graphical performance issues and implement solutions 
• Collaborate with the character team to help develop the visual direction and strengthen the capabilities of rendering characters 
• Investigate, plan, and implement projects and tasks related to the maintenance and improvement of our character rendering pipeline with the assistance of a Producer
• Actively participate in all aspects of release and sprint planning, building a backlog of work in collaboration with the Producer and Technical Director 
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions towards all aspect of the rendering process 
• Prioritize and meet deadlines, document and communicate progress  

Your profile:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with software development
• Experience using C/C++ with knowledge of the rendering pipeline. Python is an advantage
• Experience with using and profiling modern APIs such as DirectX12, Metal or Vulkan
• Experience with character rendering and associated solutions, like subsurface scattering and ray tracing
• Experience in multi-threaded design
• Understanding of real-time graphics shader programming
• Comfortable in refactoring and porting legacy code
• Knowledge of development methodologies and working in teams
