We are on the hunt for a Marketing and Design Project Manager to lead our creative and marketing projects from the front. Your role will be crucial in steering our marketing and design teams towards achieving outstanding results through the effective application of project management and Agile methodologies. You'll be the linchpin ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality, by managing timelines, resolving challenges, and coaching team members on Agile practices. Ultimately, your goal will be to foster a self-organizing, efficient team that excels in delivering innovative marketing campaigns and design projects during campaigns and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily/weekly stand-ups, strategic planning, and initiative planning sessions, post-initiative reviews, and retrospectives specifically tailored to marketing and design projects.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for marketing and design projects, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Develop and analyze project requirements documents, ensuring clear communication and understanding across teams.
  • Develop appropriate tools and systems for proper tracking across the marketing and design department
  • Monitor OKRs and assist in ensuring completion/attainment
  • Own the Marketing F2F Sessions (e.g Mid-month check-up, end-of-the-month planning) ensuring the agenda is set and respective heads are looped in
  • Guide the team in accurate time estimation practices, facilitating effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Drive the execution of marketing and design initiatives, maintaining clear communication with management and stakeholders to manage expectations and report on progress.
  • Protect the team from disruptions and scope creep, ensuring any changes are intentional and aligned with project goals.
  • Resolve project conflicts and challenges, ensuring the team remains focused and productive.
  • Conduct post-mortem and root cause analyses to identify areas for continuous improvement, implementing changes to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  • Uphold Agile principles, rules, and processes within the marketing and design teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and eliminate impediments to team workflow, facilitating smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate project data within project management software (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Other Trackers) to support effective planning and execution.
  • Present high-level project updates to senior management, providing insights into progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Support the marketing and design teams in prioritizing project scopes and managing internal dynamics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Do work scope planning with respective heads
  • Manage the DRF and Design workload relative to Marketing Deliverables
  • Manage the DRF and Design workload relative to Org-wide Deliverables
  • Ensure Marketing Tasks are carried out effectively and on time
  • Oversee Subdepartment work processes and manage improvements

Others:

  • Manage additional special projects as assigned, ensuring they align with strategic business goals (Hiring/Manpower, OKRs, Various Admin Tasks)
  • Own budget tracking and management for the Marketing and Design department (no overspending)
  • Oversee and manage workload and align with OKRs and priorities
  • Manage documents (JO repository, post-event/campaign documents)
  • Ensure closeouts are done for major projects (as aligned)
