Overview

Ambient is developing a distributed network for running verified inference on and training large language models and are looking for a Solana / Rust expert to spearhead the development of a purpose-built Solana blockchain fork. This project involves creating a new token specifically tailored for our network's ecosystem to bridge blockchain technology with artificial intelligence used for the agentic economy.

We are a productive, friendly, highly experienced technical team funded by Delphi Digital and Amber Group, among others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fork the Solana blockchain and integrate custom marketplace smart contracts and new primitives.
• Ensure robust interaction between the Solana node software and our verified ML inference / training module.
• Optimize core contracts / functionality for security and latency, adopting best practices.
• Work closely with AI team to ensure seamless integration with ML.
• Collaborate on architecture and design challenges.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Rust with a solid understanding of the Solana blockchain architecture.
• Strong understanding of consensus mechanisms and smart contract development.
• Ability to work independently on complex development tasks.

Great to Have:

• Prior experience working with blockchain technologies in the context of auctions, machine learning or distributed computing.
• Experience in developing and deploying projects on the Solana ecosystem.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
